It features micro-eased edges to ensure full coating coverage and an engineered tongue-and-groove design with expansion and contraction gaps for superior performance. Each board is end-matched to facilitate seamless transitions, thereby saving time and money while minimizing waste. The use of color-matched nails enhances the high-quality appearance and using locally sourced lumber, the entire Timberthane process is made in-house at our facility in Bracebridge. All boards are then kiln-dried for optimal stability, ensuring lasting durability and performance.

Timberthane is a 2-part polyurethane coating that gives our wood siding a protective shell and vibrant colouring. The proprietary formula is created when multiple polymer coatings work together to cure and create a long-lasting, durable and resistant shell that encapsulates each piece of siding. The formula contains ceramic nanospheres, yielding a phenomenal difference in protection against impact, abrasion and erosion. This toughness is what can withstand the UV’s that cause fading, and the rainfall that can cause rot. Similar to marine and automotive grade formulas, this is what gives Timberthane the performance ability it’s known for today.
At first glance, polymer coatings look much like ordinary paints. However, they are completely different in terms of how they perform. Latex paints simply dry, whereas polymers cure chemically; they form a protective shell that is far tougher than any paint. Over time, this polymer advantage translates into an astonishing performance difference, while latex paint finishes will eventually peel, blister, chip and break. Temperature extremes play havoc with ordinary wood siding because paints are porous; the wood swings from wet to dry repeatedly. Timberthane forms a membrane around the wood that lets it breathe and keeps it protected, making it far more robust and durable than the competition!
